John has worked in the Canadian healthcare industry for 20 years in a number of commercial sales and marketing roles. His unique background includes experience with biologics, vaccines, generic, specialty pharma, primary care and medical devices. In his current role, John is responsible for guiding commercial activities focused on increasing the number of patients that can benefit from treatment with Tilray’s products across the world. The efforts of his team are directed at educational activities aimed at physicians to promote the advantages of Tilray’s broad line of medical cannabis options directly to medical cannabis patients.

John was a member of the senior leadership team at a Canadian start-up where he led a team that launched products in cardiology, respiratory, and gastrointestinal areas. He was accountable for sales force productivity initiatives including sales force competencies, reward systems, sales force deployment strategy, customer relationship management, talent development, and oversaw the sales integration of GI leader Aptalis Pharma.
